Hosting a Wreath Making Workshop at JQ Modern

Since I launced the creative workshops in September, I've been having a lot of fun with them. So, I was thrilled and pleasantly surprised actually when the team at JQ Modern got in touch and asked if I'd be interested in hosting a wreath making workshop for their tenants. Of course the answer was "yes".

JQ Modern used to be the Big Peg but it's undergone refurbishment. It is absoutely stunning inside! There are real Art Deco vibes in there which is right up my street. If you're on the hunt for serviced office space, this is some of the most beautiful I've seen.

On the day, I had five lovely attendees there, sleeves rolled up and ready to go. We started off having a look through all of the materials and then gathering some inspiration. After a short demo from me, they were ready to go. We also had a special appearance from Kate Hollingsworth who came to take photos for the team.

One of my favourite things about hosting workshops is when I hear attendees say they're 'not very creative' but proceed to blow me away with their ideas. Truly, it's one of the reasons I love hosting workshops. Being able to focus your mind on art for an hour or two and leave with a creation you're proud of is so positive and good for our mental wellbeing.

A special thank you to Siobhan, Tara and the ladies who came along to make Christmas wreaths. I had a great time and so did my attendees; here's what Siobhan to say:

"Wreath making with Melissa was amazing! She was really helpful and the workshop brought out a creative side to me which I didn’t know I had! It was extremely enjoyable and we all had so much fun.

The selection of decorations to choose from to assemble our wreaths were beautiful. My wreath looked so professional at the end and it is now hung up on my front door at home! I would highly recommend attending Melissa’s wreath making workshops! Thank you for such a lovely time, it really put me into the festive spirit!"

If you're looking for fun creative activities to do with your team, I'd love to talk with you about 2024 bookings - use the contact form to get in touch and let's chat!

Until next time, take care,
Melissa xo
